The Allegan Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce they are partnering with The Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center (MI-SBTDC) to offer free monthly consulting for businesses and organizations in the Allegan Area. A representative from the MI-SBTDC West Michigan Region, located at Grand Valley State University, will be in Allegan the second Thursday of every month starting in July.
The MI-SBTDC’s mission is to enhance Michigan’s economic well-being by providing counseling, training, research and advocacy for new ventures, existing small businesses and innovative technology companies. The MI-SBTDC positively impacts the economy by strengthening existing companies, creating new jobs, retaining existing jobs, and assisting companies in defining their path to success.
Allegan Chamber Executive Director, Sara Decker, stated, “We have a strong relationship with the MI-SBTDC and we are very excited that they will have a monthly presents in Allegan. The representative will be available for on-site business visits or private consulting at the Allegan Area Chamber Office. We encourage anyone thinking of starting a small business to established business owners looking to expand, facing struggles, or in need of a succession plan to schedule an appointment. We are hopeful that members and non-members alike will take advantage of the MI-SBTDC’s free services and expertise.”
