To all of our neighbors grieving this holiday season, we hope you can look out your window or take a drive sometime this season, see the lights, and feel the love sent to you from all of us.
Wings of Hope is asking our friends—churches, businesses, civic groups, and individuals—to hang their holiday lights outdoors along with a sign saying “In Memory of Loved Ones.” Knowing they are in your thoughts, people driving by can find comfort.
We also suggest that those who are grieving could place a flameless candle (electric/battery operated) in their window, a sort of “Memory Candle” for those who are no longer with us but are forever in our hearts. This is a comforting and beautiful way to memorialize a loved one during the holidays. People driving by might even honk in sympathy and support.
If you or someone you love is struggling with grief and loss, we encourage you to call Wings of Hope for grief support at (269)686-8659.
