Allegan County Fair Breaks Three Records!

The Allegan County Fair wrapped up the 2022 Fair, Saturday, Sept 17th with some record-breaking news!

The 1st weekend there were heavy crowds and Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias performed on Friday, Sept 9th and Sam Hunt with Travis Denning performed on Saturday, Sept 10th.  Both shows were well attended and the Midways were packed.  We had some rain on Sunday which hurt family carload day, Monday was a bit quiet also with threat of rain but you could feel the crowds picking up on Tuesday and through the week attendance continued to increase.  Friday night, Sept 16th Lynyrd Skynryd with Sometimes Y rocked the stage with a large grandstand crowd and again the midways were full.  The last Saturday night, Sept 17th Unique Motor Sports State Championship Demo Derby sold out before the event and the Fair also had massive crowds on the midway!

There were 3 records broken.  The 2nd Saturday had a record high attendance day and Fair Week had a record high attendance week.  Attendance was estimated at #318,255.  The Youth Livestock sale hit a new record at $741,351.05 approximately 12.5% above the previous record.
