On May 14, 22, and 28, Allegan County resident and award-winning nonprofit consultant and trainer Laura Huth-Rhoades, who runs do good Consulting (an Allegan Area Chamber of Commerce member), is partnering with ONEplace@kpl to provide a free three-part series covering Marketing & Communications for Nonprofits, Storytelling for Nonprofits, and Photography for Nonprofits.
Each workshop, which runs 9:15am-12:15pm, promises attendees real, achievable, high-impact, and affordable ideas to create deep impact in their organization’s marketing and communications needs.
“If an organization is looking to raise awareness of their cause in the community, grow their base of support, increase donations, or learn to tell powerful stories of their work, these workshops are the place to be,” says Huth-Rhoades. “And if groups are looking to use their phones to take shockingly high-impact images, the final workshop on May 28 will be a real eye-opener.”
Huth-Rhoades has spent 25 years working with nonprofits, as a staff member in various posts, as a board member and volunteer, and most recently as an award-winning consultant and trainer. She and her husband moved to Allegan earlier this year. She founded do good Consulting 14 years ago and brings her high-energy, results-focused style to helping smaller to mid-sized nonprofits with an array of organizational growth and development needs, including fundraising and special events, marketing and communications, strategic planning, and storytelling and visual communications. She blends her time providing consulting as well as leading trainings, workshops, and webinars to help nonprofit grow and thrive.
Advanced registration is required and those interested in attending any or all of these free workshops should call ONEplace at 269-553-7910.
