Adopt-A-Highway is a Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) program designed to help keep the state’s highway roadsides clean and attractive.
Volunteers will check-in at Allegan County United Way at 9:00 AM. After checking in, volunteers will safely disperse along the 2-mile stretch of highway and begin clean-up. The duration of this event will last approximately 1-2 hours.
Check-in includes receiving trash bags, trash bag ties, trash picker, gloves, MDOT high visibility vest, water/snack, and signing a waiver.
Check-out includes communicating when you are safely finished to the event director; communication can include texting, calling, or stopping by Allegan County United Way. Check-out also includes returning any trash pickers, if used.
