A busy weekend is planned as two area camps kick off the Holiday Season in style.
Camp Beechpoint hosts Christmas in The Cove on Friday, December 2, at 7:00 PM. At Christmas in The Cove, Beechpoint is welcoming musical guests Proclamation Brass, vocalist Susie Antkoviak, and the return performance of The Singing Crusaders. The evening’s program is dedicated to the memory of Sheri Phelps. She loved music, and she spent the past 15 years making music special at Camp Beechpoint. Please join us after the event for a dessert reception in Beechpoint’s beautiful Lakeview Lodge.
4H Camp Kidwell’s annual Festival of Trees begins Thursday, December 1 with Senior Citizen Day from Noon until 7:00PM. Over the past 11 years, Festival of Trees has raised over $200,000 for Camp Kidwell. Activities include soup and sandwiches in the lodge (Thursday & Friday), Cookies with Mrs. Claus (Saturday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM), Brunch on Sunday (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM), and of course, the ever popular Dinner at Lodge on Saturday evening (6:00 PM; $45 by November 28, $55 at the door). So much to do: visit www.campkidwell.org for a full list of events and more details. If you can’t make it to Camp, be sure to show your support via their online Decorated Tree Auction.
