The Allegan Flashes began in 1934 as a mimeographed, free circulation shopping guide covering the rural routes of Allegan.
One of the most frequently asked questions is “Where did your company name come from?” The company name was developed by the designer of the original masthead. “Flashes” of electricity sending messages from one place to another was apparently the reason the name was chosen for the publication bringing advertising messages to the reader.
We have grown from one 2,200 circulation shopping guide to four publications with a circulation of over 75,600. We also print other publications and a variety of advertising circulars.
