Hungry for Christ in Hamilton, MI, is a food distribution ministry. Thanks to the many connections we have made with food manufacturers, we are able to utilize edible food items which for varying reasons may have been deemed unsellable by their customers. Those food items are then picked up with our 53-foot temperature controlled semi-truck and brought back to our warehouse to be safely stored according to federal safe food handling guidelines.
Twenty-three years ago, after much discussion and prayer, our path and God’s guidance were revealed to us and Hungry for Christ in Hamilton, MI was born. What began as a home ministry – offering discarded or superficially damaged boxes of food, which were perfect inside – blossomed and evolved into the large Christian non-profit it is today.
Hungry for Christ now answers the call and provides for the people in our communities from a 44,000-square-foot warehouse, complete with coolers, freezers, a clean room, and repacking facilities. We work with over 50 different food manufacturers and distributors, as well as a host of schools, churches, organizations, and outreach programs to pursue our divinely-inspired mission throughout the different avenues of the industry.
