More than 65 area businesses, non-profits, and service agencies are preparing for the Allegan Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2015 Allegan Expo: Rediscover Your Community on Saturday, March 28, between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM at The Silo. This annual event promises fun and entertainment for the whole family, and an opportunity for local businesses and service organizations to promote their products and services.
The entire family will enjoy Expo. There’s live entertainment, appearances by local celebrities, free product samples and giveaways, complimentary bites from area restaurants, vendor sponsored door prizes, free health screenings provided by Allegan general Hospital, home project demonstrations, area emergency services vehicle display, and activities for the kids. And here’s another chance to win a tablet computer by playing Allegan EXPO Expedition.
DJ Mitch Wooster will once again keep the atmosphere jumping with his great selection of tunes, vendor advertisements, trivia, and of course, a few rounds of Name That Tune. The live entertainment will include Allegan Idol Adult Category winners, Kimberly Pullen and Zanita Pattison.
The Vehicle Display, emergency and otherwise, promises to be bigger and better than ever. The kids won’t want to miss the arrival and departure of West Michigan Air Care’s MedEvac Helicopter (times TBA). Along with vehicles from area emergency response units, the Allegan Snowmobile Club will be bringing their trail groomer for its first expo appearance. And Stay tuned to the Allegan Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page and website for updates.
The Kid’s Corner attractions once again free kid’s haircuts from Brandon Jay Andrus (high school seniors and below), and hands on exhibits from the Forever Curious Children’s’ Museum, and an arts and crafts table presented by the Allegan Area Arts Council.
Exhibitors, performers, product demonstrations, activities, and “celebrity” appearances are being added daily. “Like” the Allegan Area Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page for up to the minute details.
For exhibitors, Expo offers the opportunity to showcase their products and services, build their contact list, and most importantly, meet with local customers. What better way to provide information to prospective clients than a face-to-face meeting and a handshake. Last year’s EXPO attracted approximately 800 attendees, a record the Expo Committee intends to break in 2015. Booth space is still available: Contact the Allegan Area Chamber of Commerce today to reserve yours (email@example.com, or 269-673-2479).
The Allegan Area Chamber of Commerce thanks Allegan EXPO’s Premier Sponsors Allegan General Hospital, Ely Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Manpower, as well as event sponsor, Waanders Concrete.
